யுத்த காண்டம் – மாயா சனகப் படலம் (Yuddha Kandam – Maaya Sanaga Padalam) | பாடல் எண்: 60

குழைந்தவன் துயர்க்கடல் விழுங்க, வேறு உறும்
அழுந்திய சிந்தையன் ஆகும் அண்ணலை,
மெழுந்திய தோள்களில் ஏந்தினன் – வெய்யவன்,
உழிந்தவண் ஒளித்திலன், ஒளித்திலன் அன்றே.

Brief Explanation:

This verse describes a deeply emotional moment during the war. After witnessing the illusory Sita created by Indrajit, Lord Rama is consumed by profound grief and sorrow, sinking into a “sea of despair” (துயர்க்கடல் விழுங்க).
His mind is deeply troubled (அழுந்திய சிந்தையன் ஆகும் அண்ணலை).

At this critical juncture, Hanuman, referred to as the “fiery one” or “valiant one” (வெய்யவன்), steps forward.
The crucial line here is: “மெழுந்திய தோள்களில் ஏந்தினன்” which literally means “he lifted and held (Rama) on his strong/elevated shoulders.”

This verse beautifully captures Hanuman’s immense strength, his unwavering devotion, and his compassionate act of supporting and carrying his beloved Lord Rama when Rama is at his most vulnerable. It highlights Hanuman not just as a mighty warrior, but as a tender and loyal servant who bears the burden of his Lord’s grief.

The final phrase “உழிந்தவண் ஒளித்திலன், ஒளித்திலன் அன்றே” emphasizes that Hanuman did not hide or recoil from Rama’s suffering but embraced it fully.🙏
